George A. Gross, 86, of Latrobe, died Monday, Nov. 20, 1995, in Latrobe. Born
Oct. 29, 1909, in Longbridge, he was a son of the late Gustav and Anna (Motel)
Gross. Before his retirement, he was employed in safety department of Latrobe
Steel Co. He was s member of Bethany United Methodist Church and Loyalhanna
Community Center. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Alice Marie Tubbs Gross, in 1994; a grandson, Jeffery S. Gross, and several
brothers and sisters. Surviving are two sons, William G. (and his wife, Pat
McCarthy Gross) of Ligonier and Edward G. (and his wife, Carol Torbay Gross) of
Latrobe; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Anna Margaret) Mosso of Latrobe; seven
grandchildren, Joseph A. Mosso Jr., Cathleen Ferlin, Douglas W. Gross, Robert
Mosso, Gregory A. Gross, Christopher E. Gross and James P. Gross, and three
great-grandchildren. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Dell-
Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be
held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard W. Shields
officiating. Burial will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery, Ligonier Township.
Memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 2415 Laveen St.,
Latrobe, PA 15650.
