Lawrence N. Haase, 67, of Stahlstown passed away on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at
his residence. Born May 5, 1950, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Joseph A.
and Marie L. (Huffman) Haase. Prior to his retirement, Lawrence was a self-
employed contractor and owner of L.F. Haase and Sons. For many years, he had
been an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and
fishing, and watching the deer. Larry also enjoyed race cars and racing. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Daniel,
William, Thomas, Joseph and Clair Haase, and two sisters, Helen Ulery and Marge
Greenawalt. Larry is survived by his wife, Flora A. Gabler Haase of Stahlstown;
son, Larry N. Haase Jr. and his wife, Tonja, of New Derry; two daughters, Kimmy
M. Haase and her fiancé, Sam Oscarson, of Carnegie and Angela M. Haase, his
"munchkin," of Stahlstown; stepdaughter, Ashley M. Bell and her fiancé, Robby
Kern, of Adamsburg; a brother, Mark Haase and his wife, Diane, of Latrobe; four
sisters, Linda Lizza and her husband, Dan, of Latrobe, Freda Klosky and her
husband, Tom, of Latrobe, Emma Mowry of Latrobe and Joanne Wannamaker of
Latrobe; four grandchildren, Levi, Noah, Savannah and Brody, and several nieces
and nephews. There will be no public visitations. Services and interment are
private. Arrangements are being handled by John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc.,
601 Weldon St., Latrobe.
