Robert J. Haines, 21, of 1273 College Drive, Latrobe, (Lawson Heights) died
Sunday in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born June 3, 1959, in Washington, the
son of Robert H. and Marie Monsour Haines. A member of Saint Vincent Basilica,
Unity Township, he was a 1977 graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School. He
was a student at Thiel College, Greenville, where he was vice president of the
Phi Theta Phi fraternity and was listed in "Who's Who in American Colleges and
Universities." In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Diane
Haines, at home. Friends will be received in John J. Lpoatich Funeral Home, 601
Weldon St., Latrobe, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 3 to and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Saint Vincent
Basilica with the Rev. Aloysius Carasella, O.S. B., as celebrant. Interment will
be in Unity Cemetery.
