Mrs. Robert F. Haines Mrs. Edna Shirey Haines, 88, of Beech Drive, Latrobe,
(Lawson Heights) died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1986, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born
Feb. 17, 1897, in Unity Township, she was a daughter of the late D. Howard and
Amanda Somers Shirey. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Trauger. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F.
Haines, Nov. 27, 1985; one great-great-granddaughter, three brothers, Floyd I.,
Clarence and Ira Shirey, and one sister, Effie Shirey. She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Paul (Grace) Kelly of Edgewater Terrace, Latrobe RD 5; one son,
Robert S. of Latrobe RD 3; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and one
great-great-granddaughter. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday
and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in James P. Gaut Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant
Unity. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Lutheran Church,
Trauger, with Rev. Charles H. Frederickson officiating. Interment will follow in
St. Paul Union Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township.
