Harkleroad, 64, of Latrobe died Saturday, April 22, 1989, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Aspinwall. He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Saltsburg, a son of the late Sebert and Twyla Rearick Harkleroad. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion, Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Evangeline Tatarka. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Mauk Harkleroad; one son, Derreck Cooper of Mentor, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Violet S. Hirsch of Painesville, Ohio; two brothers, Harold and Donald, both of Saltsburg RD 1; six sisters, Mrs. Wilovene Miller of Kalamazoo, Mich„ Mrs. Marge Tromley of Wall Lake, Mich., Mrs. Mary Gabrielson and Mrs. Betty Coleman, both of Saltsburg, Mrs. Norma Piano of Blairsville and Mrs. Marlene Burrell of Clarksburg, Pa., and a grandson. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Joseph R. Hunter Funeral Home, Saltsburg, with the Rev. Robert Orr officiating.
