Harr, 93, of Latrobe RD 1, died Friday Feb. 2, 1990, at home. He was born Oct. 17, 1896, in Unity Township, a son of the late John A. and Mary McKenna Harr. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Latrobe Steel Co. He was a member of Lycippus United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 515 of Latrobe. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Aukerman Harr, in 1981; a daughter, Wilma Whitmire, and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by a daughter, Mildred Frantz of Greensburg RD 8; two sons, Charles H. and David E. Harr, both of Latrobe RD 1; a sister, Elizabeth Palmer of Latrobe; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in James P. Gaut Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Revs. Frederick M. Monk and Alvin K. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Lycippus Community Cemetery, Unity Township. American Legion Post 515 of Latrobe will hold military service at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
