Harr, of the Ridge, and the fourth member of her family to be claimed by typhoid fever within the past three years, died at the Latrobe Hospital, this morning, at 9:15 o'clock. Taken down with the disease several weeks ago, she was brought to the Latrobe Hospital, last Wednesday. Her condition was exceedingly critical at the time, her temperature having mounted to 105. Last Saturday, it rose still higher, reaching 106 degrees, and hope for her was abandoned. Toward evening she rallied a little, the temperature dropping, but death came to her this morning. Miss Harr was aged 20 years, seven months and sixteen days. She is survived by her parents, five brothers and three sisters. The funeral services will be held at the fatally residence at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the interment following in Mount Zion cemetery. The pastor of the Youngstown Lutheran church will conduct the services. Her case made the eighth case of typhoid in the Harr family, within the past two or three years. The father and seven of the children have been stricken, four of the children dying from the disease. Health authorities who have made a study of the case, are said to be strongly of the opinion that the typhoid germs lurk in the water used at the Harr home. Mr. Harr is said to disagree with this view, it being his contention that the contagion has had its origin in another way, and not in the water. One of the attending physicians has urged that the members of the family be vaccinated against typhoid, it having been demonstrated beyond all doubt that by this means one may be made immune for a period of three years, at least.
