Latrobe Bulletin Mon, Nov 20, 1911
Another life has been claimed by the epidemic of typhoid fever, with which for
more than a year the members of John A. Harr’s family have been battling: John
Edwin, the little twelve year old on having succumbed at the Latrobe Hospital,
at 4:25 o'clock yesterday afternoon, his demise, making the second to occur in
the ranks of the family. The lad was received at the hospital early in October,
he having been taken down with a second attack of typhoid, just a few weeks
following his discharge from the hospital as a convalescent from a prior attack.
He was still in a weakened condition when the second attack came on him, but he
got along nicely for a time, and it was thought that he would pull through.
Saturday, however, he became. worse, relapsing into a comatose condition, and
his death occurred yesterday. The funeral services will he held from the family
residence near Solomon's Temple at 10:00 o'clock tomorrow morning, the Rev. F.
A. Weicksel, of Youngstown, being in charge. The Interment will be made in Mount
Zion cemetery.
