Mrs. Pauline Shirey Harr, 90, of Pleasant Unity died Sunday, July 10, 1988, in
Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Oct. 28, 1897, in Unity Township, a daughter
of the late George and Laura Smith Shirey. She was a member of St. Paul's United
Church of Christ in Trauger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar A.
Harr; one son, Edgar S. Harr; one brother, Wilbur Shirey, and three sisters,
Nellie Shirey, Kathryn Adams and Edna M. Mershon. She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth) Ka1p of Pleasant Unity; two sisters, Mrs. Ben
(Mabel) Musick of Latrobe RD 1 and Ruth Hauser of Youngstown; one brother, Jacob
C. Shirey of Latrobe RD 3; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday in James P. Gaut Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity. Service will be held
at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert S. McKie
officiating. Interment will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
