Funeral services for Mrs. Alda Hartman, aged 77 years, were held at 2 o'clock
this afternoon at the home of W. D. Chrisner, Market street, Ligonier. Mrs.
Hartman, a former Ligonier resident, died at her home in Swissvale as the result
of a stroke at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mrs. Chrisner is her niece. Mrs.
Hartman is the wife of the late Frank Hartman, was born in Jennertown, Somerset
county, and before moving to Swissvale, resided for a time in Ligonier. She is
survived by the following children: Mae Hartman, Mrs. Charles Donnelly and
Charles Hartman, all of Swissvale, and Ralph E. Hartman of McKeesport. She is
also survived by a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Black of Ligonier and a brother, Leasure
B. Johnston of Lorraine, O. Interment was made in the Ligonier Valley cemetery.
