Hauger, 87, of Mount Pleasant RD 5, (formerly of Stahlstown) died Monday, Feb. 7, 1983, at home. He was born Dec. 3, 1895, in Stahlstown, a son of the late Leslie and Louisa Hellein Hauger. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Stahlstown, he was a retired employee of the Cook Township road department. He was preceded in death by one son, Earnest Hauger, who was killed in action in 1943 in World War II; one brother, Elmer Hauger, and one sister, Margaret Lenhart. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Auman Hauger; one daughter, Mrs. Dean (Mary) Geary of Mount Pleasant RD 5; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Darr of Stahlstown and Mrs. Helen Hood and Mrs. Lee (Goldie) Hoffer, both of Ligonier RD 4; two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in L. Boyd Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Stahlstown. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Hughie G. Orsborn, his pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Cook Township.
