Hazlett Jr., 59, of Rockville, Md., (formerly of Latrobe) died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1986, in Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, Md. He was born May 5, 1927, in Latrobe, a son of William L. Hazlett Sr. of Latrobe and the late Carolyn Carroll Hazlett. Prior to his retirement in 1975, he was employed with the Health, Education and Welfare Department in Washington, D. C. He was a World War II veteran. He was an active member of AA. He also was a member of F&AM and the American Legion. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Hazlett, in 1980 and one sister, Mrs. Betty Ballantine Wright, in 1971. In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Susan) Reinke of Oakley, Calif.; two grand-children, and two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Hartman of Beverly, N. J., and Mrs. Margaret H. Mccowan of Latrobe. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in M. S. Hartman Funeral Home, 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Military service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday followed by funeral service in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Gary Ziegler and the Rev. Dr. Reid Stewart co-officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
