Kevin R. Hazlett, 46, of Blairsville died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004. He was born
Jan. 19, 1958, in Latrobe, a son of the late Clyde H. and Ruby T. (Blystone)
Hazlett. A truck driver for TSI Tooling Specialist Inc., he was a retired
fireman of the Eastern Derry Township Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed
hunting and sports. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two
brothers, Clyde F. and James R. Hazlett, and his sister, Betty Mae Blystone.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Marilyn Dies Hazlett; three step-daughters, Kelly
Slee and husband, Marvin, and Cheryl Turk and husband, Richard, all of Homer
City, and Jennifer Dies of Blairsville; two step-grandchildren, Kelsey Dies and
Isaac Turk; a sister-in-law, Ruth Harris of Derry, and numerous nieces and
nephews. Family and friends were invited to Kevin's life celebration 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Michael J. Quinlisk Funeral Home Inc., "A Life Celebration
Home," 548 N. Chestnut St., Derry. Funeral service was held 1 p.m. Monday in the
funeral home with the Rev. Gerald Mershimer officiating. Interment followed in
Coles Cemetery, Derry Township.
