Murnis F. Helfferich, 84, Latrobe R. D. 1 (near Lycippus), died at 5:26 am
Sunday at his home. A member of St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, he is
survived by the following children: Murray D., Oil City: Mrs. Hazel Lentz,
Donovan R. and Owen L., all of Latrobe R. D. 1. Also surviving are nine
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Belle Byerly and
Mrs. Charles Wolfe, both of Bellview. Friends will be received at the James P.
Gaut Funeral Home, Pleasant Unity, daily from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral
services will be conducted at St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, at 2:30 pm
Wednesday, Rev. Bruce R. Shaffer, D.D. officiating. The body will lie-in-state
from 1:30 pm until time of services. Interment is Unity Cemetery.
