Latrobe Bulletin Sat, Nov 05, 1988 
Florence Underwood Hetler, 69, of 800 Sylvan Ave., Latrobe, died Saturday, Nov.
5, at her residence. Born in Ligonier, Feb. 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the
late George and Anna Freeman Carns. A 50-year member of Latrobe Presbyterian
Church, she was a member of the Civic Club and Latrobe Area Hospital Aid and
formerly owned and operated the Vanity Shop in Latrobe. She was preceded in
death by her first husband, Joseph R. Underwood on Dec. 4, 1966. She is survived
by her husband, Harold Hetler; two sons, Jeffrey P. Underwood of Upper St.
Clair, Pittsburgh, and John F. Underwood of Latrobe; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanne
Philips of Greensburg; one sister, Jean Sipe Kohlstedt of Latrobe and Venice,
Fla.; one brother, Jack E. Carns of Export, and seven grandchildren. Family will
receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in
M. S. Hartman Funeral Home, 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be
held at 11 a.m. Monday at Unity Chapel, Unity Township with the Rev. Ross Bash
officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
