Hines, 82, of Shady Side, Md., a former 50-year resident of Ligonier, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2004, in Chesapeake Hospice House, Linthicum, Md. She was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Augsburg, Germany, a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Wanner) Pock. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Ligonier VFW Post 734 Ladies' Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters, Lois M. Curtis of LaBelle, Fla., and Tammy L. Hines of Shady Side, Md., and a granddaughter, Emily Curtis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Hines, in 1993. Friends will be received 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Robert D. Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
