Joseph Ira, 82, New Florence, died January 28, 1956, at 
home. Born January 23, 1874, in Derry, son of James and 
Sarah (Huston) Houston. Survived by widow, former Laurena 
Winebrenner; daughters Sarah and Ruth, both at home; and 
son, Joseph R., New Florence. Also grandchild, Betty Jane 
Louise Houston, and brother James Lloyd, Jeannette. Retired 
Pennsylvania Railroad engineer. Friends received after 2 pm 
Monday in R. S. Wagner Funeral Home, New Florence, where 
services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday, Rev. T. R. 
Bowers. Interment, Cole Cemetery, Derry.
