Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 3/29/1909
Mrs. Elizabeth Hughes, the widow of the late Thomas Hughes, died at 5:45 o'clock, on
Saturday evening, at her home, No. 627 Weldon street, death having been due to
cerebral apoplexy, super-induced by old age. She was aged 81 years, one month and 20
days. She is survived by seven children, four daughters and three sons, viz, Mrs.
Fibbie A. Lightcap, Mrs. Harriet L. Smiley, Mrs Maria J. Pollins, Mrs. Virginia
Marshall, William M. Hughes, James G. Hughes, and Vestus L. Hughes. She is also
survived by fifteen grand children and by 16 great grandchildren. The funeral
services will be held at the family residence at 2:00 o'clock, tomorrow afternoon,
the services being conducted by the Rev. George C. Fisher and the Rev. J.S. Hill.
The interment will be made in Unity cemetery. (Obit: 3/29/1909)
