Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 2/17/1954
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hughes, 73, widow of the late Sidman Hughes, died today at 12:15
am at her home in Latrobe R.D. 1. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church,
Youngstown. Surviving are six children, Mrs. Nellie Casteel, Pleasant Unity; Mrs.
Edna Miller, Norvelt; Abe Hughes, at home; Glenn Hughes, Whitney; Mrs. Beulah Webb,
Straw Pump and Mrs. Della Adams, at home; 16 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at her late home. Funeral services
will be held 2:30 pm Friday in St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, with her
pastor, Rev. Bruce R. Shaffer, officiating. Interment will be in the church
cemetery. (Obit: 2/17/1954)
