Born Dec. 8, 1918, in Yukon, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Becaj) Godek. Olga also was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Janesko (of Latrobe); sisters, Louise Upholster (Latrobe), Sally Rumick (Ohio) and Ann Gratchic (Everson); brothers, Andrew Godek (Chesapeake Beach, Maryland) and Victor Godek (North Carolina), and a daughter, Roseann Wolfe (Latrobe). Olga is survived by three children: Robert Janesko (Carol) of McKeesport, Louis Janesko (Diane) of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Christine Woods (Michael) of Lafayette, Colorado; her grandchildren, Steven Wolfe of Colorado, Kevin Wolfe (Melisa) of California, Benjamin Janesko (Li Li) of Fort Worth, Texas, David Janesko (Theresa Menotti) of Houston, Texas, Sam Janesko of Tucson, Arizona, and Sarah Janesko (Russell) of Glen Bernie, Maryland, and great-grandchildren, Aaron and Dylan Wolfe. Olga G. Godek married Louis E. Janesko in 1942, and raised four children in Latrobe. She worked for many years and retired from Troutman's department store as manager of the Ladies' Sportswear department. After retirement, Olga received her GED diploma and took classes in woodworking at WCCC. Olga was a seamstress who made everything from handkerchiefs to many clothes for herself and children, and wedding dresses. In her 80s, she learned to make beaded jewelry and purses. She loved to travel, making several trips west to visit and vacation with family. Olga was a member of the Slovenian National Benefit Society and in 2014 was awarded special recognition as a 75- year member. For the last five years Olga was living at Ligonier Gardens, in the help of their professional and caring staff. Family and friends will be received 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in St. Vincent Basilica, Unity Township. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township.
