Aloysius E. Johnston, 88, of New Derry died Thursday morning in Westmoreland
Manor. He was born July 11, 1888, in New Derry, son of the late Charles and Lena
Rancel Johnston. He was a farmer and a member of St. Martin Church in New Derry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Murphy Johnston, in 1968. Surviving
are three sisters, Mrs. Rose Bradley of Derry and Mrs. Joseph (Belle) Geary and
Mrs. Alvin (Ann) Roddy, both of Latrobe, and several nieces and nephews. Family
will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Michael J. Quinlisk
Funeral Home, Derry. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 am Saturday, in
St. Martin church, Derry. Interment will follow in St. Martin cemetery.
