Mrs. Kathryn Kanoski, 59, of New Alexandria R.D. 2, died Monday at home. She was
born May 23, 1919, in New Alexandria, daughter of the late Charles and Rose
Laingo. She was a member of St. Mary Greek Catholic Church, Salemville.
Surviving are her husband, John Kanoski; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Ann Popovich
of Greensburg R.D. 7; one son, John Ronald, at home; two grandchildren; four
sisters: Mrs. Mary Redosh and Mrs. Jack (Rose) Vees, both of Wheeling, W. Va.,
Mrs. Gerard (Helen) Rengers of Evans City and Mrs. Roger (Ann) Groataert of
Cleveland, Ohio, and three brothers, John and Peter, both of Wheeling, W. Va.,
and Raymond of Columbus, Ohio. Friends will be received in M. Wallace Felton
Funeral Home, New Alexandria, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Thursday. Parastas services will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m.
Thursday. Panachida services will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 p.m.
Friday. Funeral mass will be held in St. Mary Greek Catholic Church, Salemville,
at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Walter Kachmar officiating. Interment will
follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree. Clayton E. Linsley is in charge.
