Anna Karas, 65, of Loyalhanna, died at 9 p.m. Friday at Latrobe Hospital. Born
June 4, 1900. Member St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church; Ladies Guild:
American Greek Catholic Society. Preceded in death by husband, George, April 3.
Surviving sons: George Matyi and Michael Matyi, both at home; brother George
Simkanin of Canada. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at
John J. Lopatcih Funeral Home where parastas service will be held at 8 p.m.
today. At 9:15 a.m. Tuesday a Litany for the Deceased will be recited at the
funeral home, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Byzantine
Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Karl officiating. Interment church cemetery.
