Latrobe Bulletin Wed, Nov 28, 1934
David Karns, aged 90 years, four months and 17 days, died at 2:45 o'clock.
yesterday afternoon, following, a brief illness, at the home of his son John G.
Karns, of 1710 Ligonier Street, Latrobe. He is survived by two sons: B. H.
Karns, of Youngstown; John G. Karns, of Latrobe, and three daughters: Mrs. Harry
Freedline, of Southwest; Mrs. Malcolm McGuire, of Youngstown, and Mrs. Howard
Lewis, of Washington, D. C. One sister, Mrs. Martha Zeltner, of Baggaley, and
two brothers, John G. Karns, of Greensburg, and Henry Karns, of Youngstown, also
survive as do 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.  Funeral services
will be held at 2 o'clock, Friday afternoon at St. James Lutheran church,
Youngstown, in charge of the Rev. Henry Voegtly. By request the casket will not
he opened at the church. Interment will he made in the Youngstown cemetery.
