Solomon Keck passed away on January 15, 1902 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, of pneumonia at about 75 years of age. Deceased resided in this place almost all his life, and was the father of a large family of children, most of whom survive him. His first wife died about five years ago, and he afterwards married Miss Lizzie Forsha, of this place. The deceased was the town cannonier for the last thirty-five years, and was always at his post when a salute was to be fired. He was a member of Company K, 105th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served a full term of enlistment with great credit. His remains were interred in Oakland Cemetery.
