Mrs. Elvira Kennedy, widow of Samuel B. Kennedy, of Bolivar, Pa., died at the home of her son, Matthew S. Allison, of 2316 Fourth avenue, at 12:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, of a complication of diseases. She was born in Saltsburg, Westmoreland, county, December 14, 1845, and came to her son's home from Derry nine weeks ago. Three sons and one daughter survive, as follow: Matthew, at whose home she died; Robert, of Newark Valley; Leslie, of Braddock, and Mrs. Savilla Laughlin, of Lyric, O. Four step-sons and two step-daughters survive, as follows: J. S. Kennedy, of this city; J. M., of Juniata; W. L., of Youngtown, O.; H. S., of McKees Rocks; Mrs. George Pierpont, of Youngstown, O., and Mrs. Frank Kautz, of Johnstown. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral services will be held at the home of her son at 8 o'clock this evening and the remains will be taken to Derry for interment at 8:25 o'clock on Saturday morning.
