Mrs. Alice S. Kepple, 87, of New Alexandria RD 2, died Friday morning in
Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born Sept. 16, 1883, in Unity Twp., she was a
daughter of the late William C. and Mary Gallagher Steele. Her husband, George
R. Kepple, preceded in death in 1937. She was a member of the Community United
Presbyterian Church, New Alexandria, the Order of Eastern Star No. 281,
Greensburg, Robert G. Dornon American Legion Auxiliary, New Alexandria.
Surviving are a son, David H. Kepple, New Alexandria RD 2; one daughter, Mrs.
George (Marie) Ruffner, New Alexandria; six grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; one brother, Clyde Steele, New Alexandria RD 2; two sisters, Mrs.
Pearl Gallagher, Lincoln Heights, Jeannette; Mrs. Ross (Gertrude) Seanor, New
Alexandria RD 2. Friends will be received beginning noon Saturday at the George
Ruffner residence, New Alexandria where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday
with the Rev. R. Bruce Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow in Union
Cemetery, New Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the
Community United Presbyterian Church Building Fund. Lylsie P. Bash Funeral Home,
Delmont, in charge.
