Latrobe Bulletin, Adams Memorial Library, 1/24/1973
Bert S King, of 22 Ave D, Latrobe, died in Latrobe area 
hospital at 12:35 am Wednesday. He was born in West Newton, 
June 15, 1885, a son of the late Charles and Catherine 
Conners King. He was a member of the Bethany United 
Methodist Church, Derry Twp Grange, and was formerly 
employed by Latrobe Forge & Spring, retiring in 1951 after 
40 years of service. He is survived by two sons, William S 
of Latrobe and Wilbert R of Redwood City, Calif; three 
daughters, Mrs Vertis (Viola) Hughes of Derry, Mrs James 
(Ann) Chinchock of Mechesneytown, Mrs Homer (Leona) Marriott 
of New Alexandria; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren 
and two great great grandchildren. Services will be held in 
the funeral home chapel with the Rev David Youngdahl 
officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
