King, 88, of Latrobe RD 4 (Cook Township) died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1995, at his son's residence in Blue Rock, Ohio. He was born May 9, 1907, in Edna, a son of the late Bert and Leona (Pinkerton) King. Prior to his retirement in 1970, he was employed by Standard Steel in Latrobe, having 44 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department; a member and former instructor of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Laughlintown Small Bore Rifle Club and the Bethel Cemetery committee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Christy and Wilbert, and two sisters, Ann Horner Chinchock and Leona “Kate” Marriott. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Nina B. Marks King; two sons, Jack D. of Denver, Colo., and William C. of Blue Rock; a daughter, Mrs. William (Sally) Lundquist of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Viola Hughes of Derry Township; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday in Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Ligonier St., Latrobe. Service will be held at 9 am Saturday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mark Noe officiating. Private interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Cook Township.
