Robert L. Kirtland, 44, of Latrobe RD 2 died Tuesday evening in Latrobe Area
Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on May 12. Born
Sept. 29, 1935, in Greensburg, he was a son of Josephine Noel Kirtland of
Latrobe RD 2 and the late Robert Kirtland. He was an employee of Latrobe Steel
Co. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his widow, Joyce Stoup Kirtland;
two children, Lisa and Eric, both at home; one brother, Paul of Greensburg, and
two sisters, Mrs. William (Pauline) Pawlick of Jeannette and Mrs. Duane (Edna
Mae) Fritz of Ligonier RD 3. He was preceded in death by his father in 1945 and
one brother. Family will receive friends in Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals,
Latrobe, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Blessing services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of the funeral
home with the Rev. Kieran Rodgers, O.S.B., officiating. Interment will follow in
Unity Cemetery.
