Mrs. Nancy J. Kissell, 83, of 333 Main St., Latrobe,formerly of Ligonier, died
Saturday, Jan. 3 1987, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born June 1, 1903, in Ligonier
Township, she was a daughter of the late James and Ida Swank DeWitt. She was a
member of Latrobe United Methodist Church and auxiliaries to the VFW and American
Legion posts of Latrobe. She also was a member of the Golden Agers and the Fifth
Ward Senior Citizens, both of Latrobe. Preceding her in death were her husband,
Russell Kissell; one daughter, Dorothy, in 1924; one sister, Ruth Riffle, and one
brother, Carl Clark, in 1980. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Palmer of
Grove City; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Irene
Ambrose, Mrs. Grace Ambrose and Mrs. Edith Orme, all of Ligonier Township, and
Frances Clark of Ligonier; three brothers, James DeWitt of Laughlintown, Ford Clark
of Waterford and Luther Clark of Ligonier. There will be no visitation. Memorial
service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in McCabe Funeral Home, 244 W. Main St.,
Ligonier, with the Rev. Kenneth McGowan officiating. Memorial contributions may be
made to Latrobe United Methodist Church, Main Street and Ridge Avenue, Latrobe, Pa.,
15650.
