F. Kissell occurring in Reno, Nevada, on the 15th of the month. He was born in Westmoreland county 69 years ago, and moved with his parents to Latrobe, In 1868, he was educated In the Latrobe Public Schools, and left here in 1880. In 1884, he accompanied his brother, H. C. Kissell to Portland, Oregon, where he was living at the outbreak of the Spanish American War. He enlisted with Company M, U. S. Engineers and started for the Philippines, but his company only got as far as Honolulu. After being mustered out, he located in Nevada where he followed mining. He leaves his father. F. W, Kissell, of Portland, and a number of brothers and sisters including G. C. Kissell of Portland; Miss Elizabeth Kissell, of Portland; J. O. Kissell of Jennings Lodge, Oregon; S. M. Kissell of Mayfield, Cal.; and Mrs. F. F. Davidson, of San Francisco. The late Mrs. W. C. Reed, of Portland, was a sister. He was never married.
