Theodore A. Korona, 71, of 2144 E. Harrison Ave., Latrobe, died Wednesday, Dec.
14, 1988, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1917, in Latrobe, a son
of the late Stanley and Mary Rogosky Korona. Prior to his retirement, he was
employed by Standard Steel Co. in Latrobe for 43 years. He was a World War II
veteran, having served with the U. S. Army. He was a member of St. Rose Roman
Catholic Church and the White Eagles Club, both of Latrobe. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Kathryn Chelminski, Minerva
Everett and Mary Jo Valant, and one brother, Ernest. He is survived by his wife,
Mary Alice Halula Korona; two sons, Timothy K. and James T., both at home; three
daughters, Diane Korona, at home, Patricia Korona and Mrs. Dennis (Susan)
Findish, both of Latrobe; one brother, Joseph of Latrobe; one sister, Mrs.
Victor (Helen) Petrosky of Lancaster, and two grandsons. Friends will be
received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in John J.
Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Rose Roman Catholic Church,
Latrobe, with the Rev. Julius Stefurosky as celebrant. Interment will be in
Unity Cemetery, Unity Township. 
St. Rose Rosary Altar Christian Mothers Society will recite the rosary at 3 p.m.
Friday in the funeral home.
