Mrs. Helen M. Kozenko, 80, of 416 Latrobe-Derry Road, Loyalhanna, died Saturday,
Feb. 15, 1986, at her home. Born Nov. 25, 1905, in Bradenville, she was a
daughter of the late Mathias and Elizabeth Sedlack Mizerak. She was a former
employee of Pierce Manufacturing Co., Latrobe. She was a member of St. Mary
Byzantine Catholic Church of Bradenville and the parish Ladies' Guild. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary
Yadvis, Anna Chekan and Elizabeth Drake. She is survived by her husband, Joseph
W. Kozenko; five children, Mrs. Andrew (Theresa) Ridilla of Latrobe, Mrs. Earl
(Rose Marie) Burke, Los Angeles, Joseph M. Kozenko of Latrobe, Mrs. Theodore (M.
Jean) Kurela of Berea, Ohio, and Mrs. William (Mercedes) Wirdzek of Bear Rocks;
12 grandchildren; one great-grandson, and one sister, Mrs. Carl (Veronica)
Monica of Long Island, N.Y. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Monday and Tuesday in Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals, I543 Ligonier St.,
Latrobe. Panachida service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral
home followed by Divine Liturgy in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church,
Bradenville, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Parastas
service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The Ladies' Guild at
St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville, will recite the rosary at 1:15
p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
