The Ligonier Echo (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) 13 Apr 1945
Lucinda Kuhns, one of the older residents of Ligonier township, died at her home
near Oak Grove Wednesday evening, following an illness that had kept her bed-fast
for the past five years. Miss Kuhns was 87 years, 11 months of age. She was born in
Ligonier township and had taught school in Derry for 30 years. She was a lifelong
member of the St. James E. Lutheran Church in Ligonier. Surviving are three sisters:
Mrs. Lavina Albright, Lansing, Michigan, Mrs. Hartman Kuhns and Agnes Kuhns,
Ligonier township. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 at her late
residence in charge of Larry B. Hull. Burial to be made in the Ligonier Valley
cemetery.
