The Ligonier Echo (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) 20 Dec 1935
Mrs. Sarah Catherine Kuhns, aged 72 years, 8 months and 1 day, was found dead at her
home on Vincent St., Tuesday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock. Mrs. Kuhns had just
finished eating lunch and she told her daughter Mary that she was going upstairs and
that they would do the dishes as soon as she came down. Shortly after her mother had
gone upstairs, Mary heard a noise, and upon investigation found her mother lying on
the bathroom floor, dead from a heart attack. Mrs. Kuhns' death was quite unexpected
as she had apparently been in good health. She is survived by her husband John S.
Kuhns, an employee of the L.V.R.R.; one daughter, Mary, at home; and a son Roy, of
Clarksburg, W. Va. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from her late
residence at 2:30 o'clock in charge of the Rev. O. W. Carlson, pastor of the
Lutheran church. Interment followed in the Ligonier Valley cemetery.
