The Ligonier Echo (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) 24 Sep 1890
Died on September 13, 1890, at the home of her brother in Latrobe, Pa., aged about
20 years. Death has taken another, Miss Christena Kuhns, just as kindred and friends
were expecting much of her in a useful, happy life. Although young, she had been for
some time a successful teacher in our county, and many children will shed a tear as
they hear of her death. Her companions and teacher of the Ligonier Classical
Institute remember her for her gentle and winning ways as she moved among them at
the last summer session. "None knew her but to love her." A large concourse of
relatives and friends followed her remains to their last resting place among the
graves of her kindred at Youngstown, from her home with her brother, Henry Kuhns, in
Latrobe, on last Friday morning.
