The Ligonier Echo (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) 18 Aug 1920
Elizabeth Kuhns of Summit Ave., Ligonier, died Sunday morning at 10:15, August 15,
1920, from a paralytic stroke sustained Saturday afternoon, aged 68 years, 10
months, 21 days. She was the widow of the late Jonathan Kuhns of Ligonier, who died
four years ago on the 8th day of May. She is survived by three sons, Albert Kuhns of
Uniontown; Harry and Wilbert at home, and by seven daughters, Mrs. Luella Clark,
Mrs. Ida Clark, Mrs. Myrtle Ankney, Mrs. Catharine Ankney, Mrs. Melda Irwin, of
Ligonier; Mrs. Alice Barron of Youngwood; Mrs. Mintie Harkinsof Jones Mills, and by
24 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held at her
late home on Tuesday forenoon at 10:30, conducted by her pastor, Rev. P. W. Baer, in
the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. Interment was made in
Valley cemetery.
