Miss Lucinda Kuhns, aged 88 years, one-time teacher in the Ligonier, Derry and
Unity Township public schools, died at her home in Oak Grove at 6 o'clock last
evening, following a lingering illness lasting six years. She was a daughter of
the late Henry and late Mary Shupe Kuhns and was born on April 8, 1857. She was
a life-long member of the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ligonier.
Surviving are the following sisters: Mrs. Lavina Arbang, Lansing. Mich.; Theresa
Kuhns, and Miss Agnes Kuhns, both at home. The funeral will be at her late home
at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in charge of Rev. Harry B. Hall. Interment will
be made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
