Clarence G. Lenhart, 83, of Latrobe RD 4, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1993 at his
home. He was born Sept. 2, 1910 in Cook Township, a son of the late William M.
and Rose Chestnut Lenhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by his wife, Emma E. (Stahl) Lenhart; infant daughter Margaret Thelma Lenhart;
four brothers; Wilbert, Clark, Jonathan, and Woodrow Lenhart, and three sisters,
Edith Burns, Rose Queer, Mary Knupp. He Is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James
(Nancy) Barlock, Acme RD 1; five sons, Kenneth G., RD 4; Clair R., Acme RD 1;
Carl H., Uniontown; Dean F., Star Route, Stahlstown; Roger L, Ligonier RD 4; 21
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; special friend, Mildred Stockberger,
Stahlstown; numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by one brother,
Ralph Lenhart, Latrobe RD 4, and three sisters, Daisy Eicher, Ligonier RD 4,
Ruth Harr Myers, Punxsutawney, PA, and Myrtle Harr, Boston, Mass. Prior to his
retirement he had been employed as a Cook Township Supervisor and a selfemployed
farmer. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chestnut
Ridge Meals on Wheels, and a member of the Bethel Valley and the Little
Sewickley Sportsmen's Clubs. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday
and noon to 2 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in J. Paul McCracken Funeral Home Inc, 144
East Main St., Ligonier. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the
Rev. Hughie G. Orsborn officiating. Interment will follow In Pleasant Grove
Cemetery in Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove
United Methodist Church.
