Mrs. Hazel C. (Correll) Lentz, 90, of Latrobe RD 1 died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1993,
at Mountain View Nursing Center, Unity Township. She was born Oct. 29, 1902, in
Unity Township, daughter of the late Murnis F. and Martha Belle King Helfferich.
She was a member of the Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Unity
Township. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman L. Lentz, in 1975,
and three brothers, Owen, Murray and Donovan Helfferich. Surviving are a
daughter, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Massena of Latrobe RD 1; a son, William F. Correll
of Derry; two stepsons, Earl R. and Norman K. Lentz, both of Latrobe RD 1; a
stepdaughter, Leona Fontanesi of Latrobe; eight grandchildren, and six great-
grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in
James P. Gaut Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity. Funeral service will be held at
11 a.m. Tuesday in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Unity Township, with the
Rev. William E. Ordelt Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery,
Unity Township.
