Alvin B. Lentz, 71, of Latrobe R.D. 1 died Wednesday morning in Latrobe Area
Hospital. Born in Hostetter March 26, 1899, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred
(Cora Kuhns) Lentz. Retired Pennsylvania Railroad employe. Survived by his
widow, Barbara Thomas Lentz; following children, Herman, Lebanon, Pa.; Mrs.
Frank (Eleanor) Stan, Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; Mrs. Anthony (Mardella) Stabile,
Abington, Md.; Mrs. Joyce Ann Trice, Hyattsville, Md.; Mrs. Paul (June) Snider,
Greensburg R.D. 2; Mrs. Allen (Estelle) Foster, Greensburg; two stepchildren,
Robert Zabkar, U.S. Air Force, Utah; Mrs William (Jane) Bisi, Latrobe; brothers
and sisters, Norman and Mrs. Estella Hartzell, Mrs. James (Corine) Mitchell, all
of Latrobe; Arthur, Indiana, Pa.; Joseph, Acme; Russell, Baggaley; Mrs. Hazel
Stapleton, Mt. Union, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. The family will
receive friends at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
daily. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home 10:30
a.m. Saturday, Rev. Robert Schlotter officiating. Interment St. James Lutheran
Cemetery.
