He was born Nov. 10, 1936, in Latrobe, a son of the late Oliver Charles and Mary Ruth (Roby) Lentz. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Westmont. He retired after 30 years of service as a union carpenter, where he has worked as superintendent for Dill Construction Co. He was SEO for Fairfield Township and a member and past president of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Jointers of America, Local 462. He is survived by his wife, Patricia L Voorhees Lentz; three daughters, Brenda M. Seigh and Mrs. Wade (Darla J.) Hall, both of Ligonier, and Jennifer L Lentz, at home; two sons, Timothy David of Lakeland, Fla., and David Patrick, at home; three sisters, Donna Lentz of Latrobe, Mrs. Brian (Marjorie) Henderson of Albany, N.Y., and Julie Fiedler of Latrobe; three brothers, Daniel of Phoenix, Ariz., George of Derry and Thomas of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Sarah and Rebekah Seigh, Jordan Lentz, Jacob and Oliver Hall, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in McCabe Funeral Home, 244 W. Main St., Ligonier. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Westmont with Pastor Robert Hoffman officiating.
