Eleanor Mae Lentz, 92, of Unity Township passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, in
Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born June 25, 1923, in Latrobe, the
daughter of the late Charles K. and Nanny Mae (Long) Greene, and raised in
Youngstown. She met her loving husband, soulmate and lifelong companion, Norman
K. Lentz, on a trip to Pittsburgh with one of her girlfriends. Norman and
Eleanor married Sept. 9, 1946, in Philadelphia. They enjoyed 64 years of
marriage before Norman passed away in 2010. Eleanor was a member of Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Latrobe, and she was an active supportive
business partner on the Lentz family farm. In addition to her husband, Norman,
she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Greene, and sister-in-law,
Betty. She is survived by her loving children: Patsy and Willy (deceased) Shean,
Charles and Ketta Lentz, Sandra and Joe Davis, Norman and Denise Lentz;
grandchildren: Mark, Charles, Susan, Jason, Jeremy, Jessica, Josh, Ashley,
Brittany, Shane and Nicholas, and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom miss
her dearly. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, in
Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral service
will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor
Jeffrey L. Schock officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity
Township.
