Russell T. Lentz, 75, of Champion RD 1, died in H.C. Frick Community Hospital
Wednesday. He made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Geary. He was born in Unity
Twp., April 9, 1904, son of the late Frederick and Cora (Kuhns) Lentz. He retired
from Latrobe Forge and Spring Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret
Marie (Marks) Lentz, May 30, 1955. He is survived by the following children, Gerald
Russell Lentz Latrobe RD 1, Norman E. Lentz of Florida, Kenneth Raymond Lentz of
Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Joseph (Miriam Regina) Blystone of Hostetter, Frederick
Calvin Lentz of Summersworth, N.H., Wayne D. Lentz of Greensburg RD 8; 22
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Lentz of Clarksburg,
Joseph Lentz of Bedford, and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Stapleton of Mount Union, Pa.,
Mrs. James (Corrinne) Mitchell of Latrobe. Family will receive friends at the
Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals Latrobe from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7
to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday,
the Rev. John L. Reiner, D.D. officiating. Interment will follow in St. James
Lutheran Cemetery. (Obit: 7/26/1979)
