Lentz of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Gerald R. Lentz to show support. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Lentz and Margaret Lentz (Marks); his wife Audrey G. Lentz (Boring); his daughter Margaret Marie Lentz; his grandson Thomas E. Lentz; and his brothers, Kenneth and Norman Lentz. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Standard Steel Company. Gerald was U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 982. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by: his children, Thomas E. Lentz (Suzanne) of Latrobe, Gerald A. Lentz of Latrobe, Sharon E. Shirey (David) of Ligonier and Tammy S. Riffle (Brian) of Latrobe; and his siblings, Fred Lentz (Delores) of New Hampshire, Wayne Lentz of Greensburg and Miriam Blystone of Hostetter. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. Due to the re-implemented medical guidelines, only 25 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time. We respectfully request your cooperation and understanding as we direct our guests. Services and interment with military honors will be held privately for the family at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
