Patricia L. Lentz, 66, of Fairfield Township, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at her home. She was born July 27, 1941, in Troy, a daughter of the late Manley Voorhees Sr. and Jennie L. (Butcher) Voorhees. She was preceded in death by her husband, David O. Lentz; two sisters, Lorraine Shappee and Harriett Smith; and two brothers, Floyd and Sherman Voorhees. She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Seigh (Stephen Viazanko, fiance), of Ligonier Township, Darla (Wade) Hall, of Fairfield Township, and Jennifer (Daniel) Kovacs, of Indian Lake; two sons, Timothy David Lentz, of Tampa, Fla., and Dr. David Patrick (Andrea) Lentz, of Ligonier Township; grandchildren, Sarah and Rebekah Seigh, Jordan Lentz, Jacob and Oliver Hall, and Emily, Carson and Luke Lentz; sister, Marilyn (Lee) Sheive, of Kissimmee, Fla.; two brothers, Elwood Voorhees, of Gillett and Manley Voorhees Jr., of St. Cloud, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Warren Smith, of Elmira, N.Y.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends, including a special friend, Molly Zell. Patricia was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and a lifetime Girl Scout. She was also a member of Thyme for Herbs, Ligonier Rotary Club and the PA Realtors Association. She enjoyed the Junior Women's Club of Latrobe, sewing, arts and crafts, and loved raising sheep and horses on her farm. Family was important to Mummum and memories will be cherished. At her request, there will be no public viewing. Friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1035 Goucher St., Johnstown. Interment will follow at the Lentz Family Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the McCABE FUNERAL HOME, of Derry. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be directed to the Orphanage Fund, c/o Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1035 Goucher St., Johnstown, PA 15905, or to the American Cancer Society, 863 Georges Station Road, Suite 2, Greensburg, PA 15601, in memory of Patricia. The family would like to thank neighbors, friends and the health care professionals who supported Patricia throughout her long battle with cancer.
