Willis R. Lloyd Sr., 83, formerly of 214 Thompson St., Latrobe, died Tuesday,
Jan. 26, 1988, in Yong's Personal Care Home, Lawson Heights. He was born Dec.
25, 1904, in Latrobe, a son of the late Harry R. and Mrs. Mary Ada Zeltner
Lloyd. He was a retired foreman of Standard Steel with 38 years of service and
was employed at St. Vincent College for 11 years after retiring from Standard
Steel. He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church of Youngstown.
He was predeceased by his wife, Malvin McCullough Lloyd, in November 1961 and
one son, Willis R. Jr., Nov. 19, 1980. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William
(Mary) Marsh of Youngwood; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one
sister, Mrs. Viola Robb of Greensburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Service
will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. James Lutheran Church with the Rev. Judith
Boggs officiating. Interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park,
Hempfield Township.
