Death called another of the old residents of this vicinity this morning when
John R. Lloyd, of Mechesneytown, succumbed to the infirmities of age and
complications, he being aged 77 years, 8 months and 28 days. Mr. Lloyd came to
this section from Wales and has lived here ever since. He is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Jennie Lloyd, three daughters, Mrs. W. H. Keys, Mrs. John Lawry and
Mrs. Robert Thompson; three sons, Evan John and David; all living at
Mechesneytown. He also leaves 28 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. John Lawry, of Mechesneytown, the Rev. D. L. Johnson having
charge. Interment will follow in the cemetery at Mechesneytown.
