First Ave., died Saturday at 10:45 a.m. in Latrobe Hospital. A son, Staff Sgt. Ralph Lowden, was killed in action in France in 1944. The deceased was a member of the Latrobe Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Witherspoon Lowden and the following children: Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Cox, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Giles (Marion) Campbell, Latrobe; Mrs. Burns (Roberta) Malesky, Cleveland, O.; Donald, Robert, Jr., Russell, Latrobe; Mrs. Clarence (Connie) Briner, Kecksburg; a sister, Mrs. Paul Wilt, R. D. 2, a brother. Ralph Lowden. Wilmerding; an aunt, Mrs. Annie Gardner, Latrobe R. D. 2, and 19 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Joseph R. Hunter Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. James L. Carraway, pastor of the Latrobe Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. A. Clark, associate pastor. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
